About the Instructor
Toni McCarthy

Calhoun Air Center welcomes Toni McCarthy, she recently moved from Denton, Texas to join the team at Calhoun Air Center’s Victoria location to start up the helicopter division. She co-managed a Part 141 helicopter flight school in Denton, in addition to teaching flight and ground school as a Certified Flight Instructor/Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFI/CFII).

She has over a thousand hours of flight time in helicopters, the majority of this time has been built doing the activity she enjoys most — flight instruction. Toni has flown multiple cross country ferry flights including flying the R44 from Indiana to Victoria, Texas. Her favorite maneuver to teach is auto rotations.

Toni’s goal at Calhoun Air Center for each and every pilot is to make them the best they can be. This includes safety, planning and good decision making, as well as great technical skills.
