     Yes we do have a library. We have the main county library in the city and 3 branches in the county. There is also Victoria College located about 30 miles away that has a really great library. http://www.cclibrary.org/

   do have motel or cheaper place to stay them …the cottage

     Yes our beach is a public beach, we have 2 beaches, one is a sandy beach (Lighthouse Beach Park) this beach is close to town and hotels, great for kids, it’s small and has lots to offer. Magnolia beach is 20 minutes from town, it’s a shell beach with some great things to do as well. We have several hotels in town with all price ranges, when your on our site you can look up lodging under the business directory and there you will find a list of places to stay.

   Im in town while my husband works till december at the plastics plant. We have his niece for a couple of weeks during this summer. We have a small pool at our hotel but we were wondering about the municipal swimming pool. I went by there today but there is no info posted. Any info could really help. Thank you bunches.

     Our city pool is run by the YMCA – for their hours of operation, please call the YMCA at 361-551-2562. There is also a nice pool just over the causeway in Point Comfort, you can check with their city hall as to their hours, 361-987-2661. Hope you have a nice visit with your niece.

   I’m trying to locate RV parks in the Port Lavaca area. Could you mail me information? Pricing, length of stay allowed, eateries close by, beaches, amenities and such. We are leaving for a cruise out of Galveston in February and would like to visit the coast around this area before hand. Time to visit more inside Texas! How far is Galveston, Corpus, Victoria, from you, etc. Thank you very much!

       We will be more than happy to put a Visitor’s packet to you in the mail today – we have one right here at Lighthouse Beach, right next to the beach, fishing piers and bird sancutuary. There is a Visitor’s guide in the packet with others around the area listed, as well as dining, fhishing, etc. If you have questions when you receive you packet, just give us a call or shoot me an email.

    Mrs. Nation, would like to know if the Center can be reserved in 2013 during the Juneteenth Holiday? If not, how early/late we can ask to reserve this during the period asked? Too, in ancestry, we are focussing on the Dean Family from Port Lavaca as to Alex and Mary Kitchen Dean from Precinct 1 area. Is there a way to trace this area of location and possibly the library has more detail? Take You, Rev. Marreece Dean and we are the relatives of Alex and Elizabeth Dean that stayed on Virginia Street. Don Relle, his family, as well as Major General Garry Dean now Commanding General of Tyndall Air Force Base Florida..

    My husband and I will be visting the area next week. Can we pick up a vistitors packet at the Chamber of Commerce? I am not sure I will get it in the mail in time. If so, what hours are they open? Do you have any businesses that rent boats or jets skis? Thanks for your help.
